The grouped project activity No. 2923 “Grouped Projects for Viet Nam Cookstove Program” involves the installation of energy efficient Improved Cooking Stoves (ICS) in the households throughout Viet Nam. The proposed project activity aims to reduce the wood-fuel consumption of traditional stove users by distributing ICS to households. By reducing the consumption of wood-fuel, it can contribute to improving public health problems. Furthermore, this proposed project can contribute to Viet Nam's climate change respond and sustainable development.

Regarding to this project activity, Viet Charcoal Production Company Limited (VietCharcoal) is the only manufacturer of the distributed ICS. Sustainability Investment Promotion and Development Joint Stock Company (SIPCO) is the investor to purchase ICS from VietCharcoal for free distribution to the end users. As VERRA’s requirement on the supply chain (scope 3) emission, Sustainability Investment Promotion and Development Joint Stock Company (SIPCO) is on behalf of VietCharcoal which binding contract to confirm that “Carbon credits may be issued through the Verified Carbon Standard project ID 2923 for the greenhouse gas emission reductions and removals associated with TK90 and Ecozen stoves, manufactured by Viet Charcoal Production Company Limited in Di Su commune, My Hao District, Hung Yen Province, Vietnam, distributed by Sustainability Investment Promotion and Development Joint Stock Company (SIPCO)”
